PsyHelp:Policy

From PsyHelp

A wiki is meant to be a useful collection of information. In the interest of keeping PsyHelp useful, the rules here are more strict than those within the PsyPets game itself. Accounts that repeatedly misuse PsyHelp will have their right to edit the wiki revoked.

PsyHelp Use Policy

  1. There is a "discussion" tab on every page. If you would like to discuss an article, use this page, and not the article page itself.
  2. Do not post information if you are not certain of its accuracy. (Some leniency is given here; see note below.)
  3. Do not post non-PsyPets-related information (ex: spam).
  4. Use the "Show preview" button. Do not be responsible for leaving several consecutive edits of a single article (or worse, many single articles) all over the Recent changes page.
  5. "Information" about PsyPets Residents should not be posted anywhere except the corresponding "User:" page. Remember also that User: pages can have sub pages! (Example: User:That Guy Ben/Sub Page)
  6. If a PsyPets Resident makes it clear that they do not want their "User:" page edited, do not edit it.

A note about point 2: In the case of accidental misinformation (for example, if you claim a particular food provides 8 hours, but later evidence suggests a slightly different value), there is a large degree of lenience, since exact values can be difficult to discern. Still, if it is noticed that you are repeatedly posting absurd information, you may have your wiki-editing rights revoked.

How to Edit a Wiki

If you've never edited a wiki before, you may feel a bit intimidated about doing so. Wikipedia has a fantastic article about the wiki markup language and general rules of style.

Note that while some HTML is usable on a wiki, it is often better to use wiki equivalents. Also, the PsyPets markup (i.e. {m}, {img}, {b}, {/}, etc) will not work at all.
