Help! My pet is pregnant!
First of all, don't panic. Your pets did not decide to be naughty or frisky (probably). Its all explained below.
How can I be sure that my pet is pregnant?
Silly question, yet people do ask. When you look at the description of your pet below your pet's name, it's in the last line. Like so :
The green text means they are pregnant!
How did my pet get pregnant?
All unspayed female pets (at least one month old) have a random chance of getting pregnant.
Known factors which do influence the likelihood of your pet being a mommy are :
- How many fertile (not-castrated) male pets you have in the house. Obviously the more males you have in the house, the higher are the chances of your pet getting pregnant.
- How happy Gizubi-daera is. At maximum happiness, this happy god is equivalent to having 4 fertile males in the house. Thats what That Guy Ben says.
- Some equipment increase or decrease the chances of the equipped pet becoming pregnant (Venus and Dry Staff, for example).
- Supposed Formula: floor(1+(Gizubi happiness modifier+fertile males+item modifier))/8764
- Gizubi's modifier= 0 when normal, 4 when rapturous
- Fertile males = 1 point each
- Item modifier = most of them add +1-3, one of them adds +5, dry staff is -5

In addition, one sure way of getting your pet pregnant is to use a Fertility Draught on the pet. This results in instant pregnancy.
What if I don't have a female pet or an unspayed pet?
The Fertility Draught among other things also :
- Changes male pets to female pets
- Unspays neutered or spayed pets
And makes them pregnant at the same time.
The Stages of Pregnancy
Your pet only shows signs of being pregnant approximately one week after getting pregnant. So don't worry that your Fertility Draught has failed.
Pregnancy lasts for approximately four weeks after which the pet will give birth.
The stages are (more or less)

| is near birthing! | 1 week to birth |
The Effect of Pregnancy
During pregnancy, the following things happen to that pet :
- The pet becomes lazy and does very little, if anything (starting in the "very pregnant" week).
- The pet eats a lot (starting in the "pregnant" week)
- The pet may become depressed and lose much more love than normal (starting in the "very pregnant" week).
Caring for pregnant pets
- Make sure you ALWAYS have plenty of filling food in the house. They will eat a lot. If they gather, craft, invent, build or smith they will eat twice as much, and if they hunt or adventure, they will use four times as much.
- Have enough items in the house to keep safety, love and esteem high.
- If possible, try and hand-feed your pet more often and pet/play with it
- Login more often to make sure your pet is ok ,or just tick the vacation box.
What can I expect?
When your pet gives birth, you get about 1 - 6 new pets in the house, with random stats. The babies' graphics will depend somewhat on the mother.
Abortion
- Pregnant pets can't be spayed.
- Abortion cannot be induced short of killing the pregnant pet. Exception: If the pregnant pet takes a dip in the Cursed Pool (The_Alchemist's), they'd no longer be pregnant.
If you're worried about caring for another pet, simply put the babies in the Pet Shelter or Pet Market where someone else can take them home and care for them.
What about my Exuberant pets?
Exuberant pets do not get pregnant while they are in exuberant status. Though if you place a pregnant pet into exuberant status, the pregnancy will advance through its stages as usually, but the pet will not give birth to the babies until after it is taken out of exuberant status.
