Mining is one of the Hourly Actions, and is similar to Gathering. A pet may visit one of the mine locations and attempt to bring home one of a number of earth-type items. Pets without mining equipment may still gather from the mine locations, but are likely to be less successful.

History

- On 3 June 2006, That Guy Ben introduces Mining during this broadcast (Note however the broadcast and the recording is cut-off halfway).
- On 2 June 2007, mining was overhauled. Prior to that, Mining was unlike any of the other Hourly Actions. Instead of being stat or skill dependent, pets could only mine if they were equipped with one of the following:

- "mining is similar to gathering, except that the pet only brings back earth-type materials. it is also very hard on the tool being used (which spends its days getting hit against really hard things)."
- Pets who do not have those items equipped can still mine, but at lower rates, as a Gathering action.
