First Words
Alrighty, so uh it’s actually just a minute past.
Although, you guys are a minute delayed so it might be a couple. But uh, first I’m gonna report the songs that we played. First was, I don’t know how to say the name. Dragoste Din Tei by Ozone that was requested by someone so I played that. And the next song, uh that last one was California Dreaming by Benny Benassi. Benassi, sorry that’s obviously a techno version of an older song. Which I picked, because last week I was asked to play some older songs and I thought haha….I will fulfill that request in an evil Genii type fashion and uh pick this crazy remake.
Last week, I got disconnected sometime when I was talking about breeding. And I was thinking about um picking up with that. But I received something like 73 (seventy three) emails today, much more then last time. So I’m not gonna pick up where I left off from the previous show. Uh, instead, I will get ahead..or go ahead and you know…uh start answering the ones from today. The other thing though is: if I get disconnected today, this time I’m going to notice and I will reconnect if it happens because that was extremely obnoxious. And I ended up talking for like ten (10) minutes and no one was listing. So, if I do get disconnected for some reason then just keep trying to reconnect and I should be back up. The other thing is, is that I am supposed to go meet a friend at 8 (eight) tonight, which is in about an hour so I won’t be talking for more then like 40 (forty) minutes. It only went I think 20 (twenty) minutes last time, but there’s that.
Alrighty, uh also I am gonna try and promise to speak more slowly this time. If I start to speed up, A LOT, then I dunno, someone can mail me and tell me to slow the hell down.
Alright, let’s uh get this show on the road. ….
Queen of Hearts
(Question) Queen of Hearts says: Hey, My mom is still convinced PsyPets is messing up our computer. What do I tell her?
(Answer) I think Queen of Hearts mailed me about this along, long time ago in game. And I...I don’t know what you can tell you mom about this. (Sound) There are so many reasons that it’s not true. And..I don’t know it might just be an excuse that she has for uh why she doesn’t want you wasting your time playing PsyPets. I don’t..I don’t know what to say about that.
On to the next one:
Small Community
(Question) Uh Small Community says: Is there a certain limit to how many pets you can have on one account. I am again finding it impossible to use my Draik account. Can you do that vacation thingy again?
(Answer) This is a problem that lots of people are having recently. I think because there is now again an increase in activity on PsyPets. Which slows down the servers, the problem is, and this well be fixed in PsyPets 2 (two) but the problem is, is that when you login it catches up all of your pets on what you previously, like the hours that you have missed.
And if you have an inordinately large number of pets and I guess I shouldn’t say inordinately but if you have so many that the server can’t catch them all up, then eventually after 30 (thirty) seconds in fact the computer, or the computer running PsyPets says whoa, whoa, whoa this has been running forever, I don’t think its ever gonna stop. And just cuts it out, and then you get that message you know, maximum execution time exceeded or whatever.
There is no limit on how many pets you can have in an account. Except, I guess by the amount of space they (accented wrong take) take up in your house which is negligible. So, (sound/pause) unfortunately, you can create that problem for yourself. And on one hand I could limit the number of pets that people could have but that would be annoying. And on the other hand, it...it also depends on how long your gone and how active your pets are. So there’s no way to fix the number of pets so that problem will never happen.
The way it’s gonna work in PsyPets2, is that it will never um catch up the pets. The pets will always take an action every hour. Uh this also means you can’t have the retroactive vacation mode which happens now if your gone for 7 (seven) days. So, (pause/non verbal noise) that will be good and bad in some senses, it will be definitely better because we won’t have this problem anymore. Um, I will get back to Small Community and uh fix up their account. I mean the way I fix that is that I trick the system into thinking that you have in fact checked up on your pet’s seconds ago. So when you log in, it doesn’t think that there’s anything to catch up on. So if you have that problem, feel free to um message me in game and I’ll…I can fix up your account so you’re not getting the time out problem.
On to the next one: Starlight

(Question) Starlight says: Will there be (British Accent) Potted Pines for Christmas 2006 in PsyPets?
(Answer) And there will. The Christmas trees uh are automatically available in the stores on December 25, of every year. The same is true, although for uh February 14, of the uh candy hearts. You know those terrible chalky candies that you can buy with like “I Love You” and all those corny messages. I don’t know if any are still around in the game, I..I still have some or I maybe sold them…I don’t remember. But anyway, uh you can buy them on Valentines and only on Valentines and so that’s also one of those reoccurring items, uh that are sold. So yes, Potted Pines will be available next year.
(Momentary Pause)

(Question) Yahoo says: Did your Grandma get a lot of psymail after the last broadcast?
(Answer) (inaudible noise) I don’t know. You’d have to ask her. She didn’t mention anything specifically about it.

(Question) Um let’s see gooey: How is your year going so far? Also, where should we mail you if we think of questions during the rest of the week that we want you to address during your broadcast?
(Answer) (Laughs) I specifically do not allow you to uh mail questions during other parts of the week because then I’ll have even more then I however many I have now (checks mail) 69 (sixty nine), that’s no so many. Anyways, it’s a lot. It’s more then I’m going to cover today. So, uh you just have to remember until Monday. And that’s when it’s uh available and actually uhhh no never mind that’s enough.
How’s my year going so far? I… It’s fine. I don’t know, it’s just been a couple days.

(Answer) Yeah, I didn’t like it replacing the original broadcasting page. Which is why I uh added that little radio station thing. Yeah, you emailed, see she uh emailed this question before I had made that change. But um, yeah now when you um go to the broadcasting station there isn’t this replaced (thinking pause) you would have noticed if you were here last week. It used to replace the original broadcasting page. That’s not true anymore, now I just have that handy icon in the top bar. Uh that’s not such an issue there, there doesn’t need to be link for it during other times cause again I don’t want you mailing me questions when it isn’t Monday.
Choconut
Uh next one Choconut: (Question) Since it will be rations given out does that mean you will get more if you have more pets?
(Answer) Ok, I think Choconut is talking about PsyPets 2 (two). Last week, I had mentioned that because there isn’t going to be money. You won’t be getting an allowance every week of money because money isn’t so fixed. Instead you will be given rations of food. And just like in PsyPets 1(one) you don’t receive a larger allowance for having more pets; in PsyPets 2 (two) you will not be given more food for having more pets. It’s up to your pets, (pause) to you know; make up, to do the work to feed themselves. So, you won’t be getting anything more.

Uh Peekaboo:
(Question) Will you be transferring all of a persons pets on to PsyPets 2 (two) because I have 196 (one hundred ninety six) pets at the moment (Ben’s breakdown) Jesus! That’s a lot (end of breakdown) and wouldn’t have enough space for all of them on PsyPets 2 (two).
(Answer) (Shocked) Oh god. Um, first of all I’m not entirely sure how I’m going to do the transfer. Because, I have to do it personally, one person with have 196 (one hundred ninety six) pets if 10 (ten) of you guys want me to transfer pets it will be nearly 2000...that’s ridiculous! Um I might have to write an automated way to do this.
(Long pause) Um, ok, (stumbles through words) I’m going to (stumbles again) kind of, though there’s gonna be a bottle neck. On how many pets you gonna be able to transfer anyway. Because one of the problems I foresee, is that everyone is gonna transfer all their pets over into PsyPets 2 (two) and then find because it works differently all their pets starve to death and go crazy and everyone will cry and be sad and wonder why it happen. And the reason it happen, is because PsyPet 2 (two) is gonna be different then PsyPets 1 as we already know in some very important ways.
So, I certainly wouldn’t let anyone transfer all 196 (one hundred ninety six) at once. And there’s gonna be a good delay. (Rambling uh and thinking words) I have a, Ok there’s something that I’m gonna cover just before I close. There’s another cool announcement to make. But, I’m not going to let people start transferring over anything donations or pets until PsyPets 2 is capable of supporting donations. It will….at the end I will explain something else that might make things more clear..but were gonna move on for now.
